Musée des Confluences
Musée des Confluences
We are delighted to welcome Musée des Confluences as a participant of the WanBel global project.
The Musée des Confluences has a longstanding engagement with Pacific collections and a mission that places cross-cultural understanding at its core. Its exhibitions and displays take a thoughtful approach to presenting knowledge across disciplines and worldviews. The temporary exhibition Nous, les fleuves highlighted the symbolic and ritual importance of the Sepik River, while Papua New Guinean objects feature prominently in permanent galleries such as Origines, Éternités, and Sociétés, as well as in thematic school visits and the Galerie des donateurs. Through these initiatives, the museum sustains a dynamic dialogue around belief systems, material culture, and intercultural perspectives, reinforcing its role as a key space for exploring connections between communities, traditions, and knowledge.
